The Show

Saturday night, me and the Galoot ate dinner with the preppy girl, starry night, and the silver fox. It was delicious.

Then we performed at the Reg Studio Theatre to a pretty good sized crowd. There were a decent couple of sketches. I think one of the more interesting was a story of a guy in training for the olympics who decides it's time to change his diet to become stronger etc...

He says he has read up on cannibalism, and is intrigued at the idea that he can absorb another person's power/soul through ingestion. He and his olympic trainer set out to find a victim/protein boost.

They kill what they think is a homeless woman, and prepare to eat her, only to discover that she is an undercover police officer. Another homeless guy shows up and they slay him as well.

Finally, the athlete's trainer strangles the olympic hopeful with a belt, convinced that the buffet of human flesh before him will give him the power to stage his own olympic come back.

But irony rears its ugly head as the coach drops to his knees sobbing, remembering he doesn't have a driver's license. His freshly dead athlete was his only means of transportation. He cries.

Simplicity.

MySpace® remembered my birthday...

Thoughts on turning another year older:

This next year will be better.

I am sick and tired of waiting around for other people. You are either in, or get the hell out of my way. If you want to come, fine. Just don't slow or stop me.

There are too many things left undone. Now is the hour to do. Be part or get out of my way.

There are too many things left unsaid. It is time to say them. Listen, respond, react, or get the hell out of my way.

There are lives to be lived. One of them is mine. MINE. I am taking it.

Happiness is like an education... nobody gives you anything. You have to take it.

Get the hell out of my way.

Think About It.

There is a natural propensity for many of us to live too close to our lives. Take a giant mental step back today and see what is most important. More importantly, decide what is least important. What is most tiresome? What is an unending drain of emotion? What is not worth your effort anymore? Figure that out, and take appropriate actions.

Once you take out the trash... you will be surprised at how much time and energy you can devote to those things which are of REAL importance to you.

Be you.
